Dr. Irena Skibinsky is a board certified General Dentist and has been practicing since 2011. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University graduating Summa Cum Laude and went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey where she was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. She completed her General Practice Residency at the Metropolitan Hospital in New York City. Being fluent in English, Russian and Spanish, Dr. Skibinsky is able to speak the many languages of her patients, making them feel at ease under her care.
Though Dr. Skibinsky’s focus lies in Cosmetic based dentistry, she also enjoys treating children. One of the many things that makes Dr. Skibinsky such a solid dentist, is her extensive involvement in the community. She has been a representative for Children’s Dental Health Awareness day at the Liberty Science Center, where she educated children and their parents with the help of posters, games and activities about how they can improve their own oral healthcare and the dental care habits of their families. She also participates in the Smile Makers program where she offers free screenings and exams to underprivileged children in Newark, New Jersey. These are just two of the many programs and community initiatives Dr. Skibinsky has been involved in. In her spare time, she enjoys ballroom dancing and traveling.
